About the Author:

Gina Harlow is a bass player, singer, song writer and founding member of The Cutthroats, a NYC punk band that performed on the circuit in the 1970’s – 80’s. We were featured at such clubs as: Max’s Kansas City, CGBS, The Mudd Club, Trax, Heat, Hurrah’s, The Copacabana, and sold out the Beacon Theatre.
We recorded one album, Live On Stage, recorded on our 4th gig, at Max’s Kansas City. We were given the 2 inch tape, and set out to a studio to mix and master it, pressed a record, and sent it out for reviews. Billboard Magazine wrote an encouraging review and nominated it as the Album of the Month. When that hit the stands, J&R music president called. He bought us out of the entire stock (of 900) records and distributed them. We kept 100 records and sold some in the clubs we were performing in.
And that’s the story of Gina Harlow and the Cutthroats, short version.

    ciao Gina,
    I love your 1979 live album, and I would re-release on vinyl in a ltd edition of 400 copies. My label released over 150 lp’s all dedicated to US punk between 1975-80.
    I can offer you 400 dollars + free copies + mechanical rights.
    let me know
    all the best
